aren't you involved with the CCE in some way on that day...

Gunther would get dinner for saving O'Tooles life... but it wouldn't be lobster... he's pretty cheap. There would be plenty of beer (cheap beer, but plenty of it) tho.

Fellow nerds,

On Saturday, November 15, 2003 at starting at 2:00pm I will be hosting a halo party. I have confirmed 4 XBoxes each of which have 4 controllers. This party will be at my house: 7 Pelham Terrace #2, Arlington, MA 02476. This gathering will be a BYOB service so if you want water, coke, booze, beer, moxie, or milk you will have to bring it yourself. Snack foods will be provided! yay! party will end when the few the proud the tired give up from eye strain.

Also, I am still looking for a television. I have 3 confirmed and am looking for a 4th (20inch or greater is better). Please respond and let me know if you can or can not attend and if you plan of bringing a TV.

May the snipers be merciful,

Vlad- Mysteriously and suddenly, Vlad departed for Luthon ahead of everyone else.

are you surprised...

Auston,

the RoS magic (of course from what i've read & understood) in it's quickest form is 3-10 seconds to cast... more than enough time for a sword wielding maniac to run a mage through. most spells actually take even longer (like a minute or two) not real long in the scheme of things, but not a "combat" magic.

With that said, give a mage a few minutes, or a few mages a few hours and the person or things being messed with will never be the same.

along that note... take my mage for instance, walking down the street slightly dissheveled and with a week or so stubble/almost beard smelling not outright bad, but like he needs to shower. He wears decent clothing for the area he's in and his gold purse is slightly exposed letting you know he has a few bucks on him. your buddy from the local bar said someone fitting this description won by possibly cheating but was never caught (in actuality was not cheating) all his money.

Now, O'Toole (we'll call him that for now) is not carring any weapons so he's probably an easy target. but what he is carring is a walking stick with magical runes carved in it... and a ring that you believe means something to mages. You could run up to him kill him take the money back to your friend and call it a day no one the wiser, this guys probably caring all that stuff to scare you any way. Or he really could be a mage... and those items have a spell in them and you don't want to find out what nasty way he's thought of for you to die, and even if he didn't kill you he might have mage friends (you look around, everyone seems to look at you) who will revenge his death... you heard stories of mage revenge. One of "them" caused a house to shrink down to doll-house size but the people inside didn't shrink with it... ouch.

He's almost past you now... it's your chance...

how would you decide on the combat pool of a magical creature? can i make you fall into a pit trap just by magicing the ground below you... also, i do want to see the RoS combat in action it sounds cool, but i missed the mock combat. is there any kind of disspelling or un-magic doing? what kind of magic would i use to make a force field? how much magic is needed to create the "be our guest" scene from Disney's Beauty and the Beast in RoS?
